Up Gaurav Samman 2018 programme, organised by Maa Foundation, on Sunday saw a number of achievers from across the state being felicitated for their contribution in diverse field.Home minister Rajnath Singh honoured distinguished achievers.
Air Commodore Sanjay Chauhan Was honoured posthumously. The Indian Air Force (IAF) pilot was killed on June 5 When a Jahuar fighter aircraft h was flying on a routine training mission crashed in a village in Gujrat’s Kutch district.
Others honoured were Aditi for women empowerment and entrepreneurship, Sameer Shaikh, social entrepreneurship, Guru Narayan Mehrotra for social service, Chander Prakash for his lifetime contribution for city of Lucknow.
Also feted were Maneesh Verma for his contributionin the field of enterainment industry, actor Vedita Pratap Singh Trivedi for her contribution in the field of yoga and naturopathy and Dr Aditya Kapoor, senior cordiologist.
LU vice-chancellor SP Singh, classical singer and social worker Aparna Yadav, actor Meenakshi Dixit, athlete Sudha Singh, additional advocate general Vinode Kumar Shahi, Pravinder Singh Sehmy for education and social worker and lyricist-writer Manoj Muntashir were also honoured. Actor Anupam Shyam Ojha, actor Mithilesh Chaturvedi, actor Ravi Kishan, filmmaker Boney Kapoor, OP Singh, Director General of Police, Lt Gen AK Singh , Formal Lt governor of Andaman and Nicobar Island and Mukesh Singh, co-chairman, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry for his extraordinary effort in economic development of Uttar Pradesh were felicitated.
Maa Foundation Padma Shri Sunil Jogi also addressed the gathering.
