9 March 2019 – Uttar Pradesh State Film Festival seminar has been completed with colorful events today in the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan Gomti Nagar. Film Bandhu Uttar Pradesh and PhD Chamber of Commerce, U.P. Chapter, jointly organised this seminar. As the chief guest, Hon’ble Chief Minister Uttar Pradesh,  Yogi Adityanath, also distributed subsidy to the film in line with the film policy.

Launching the film festival, Women Welfare Minister Shri Rita Bahuguna Joshi said that she herself is very fond of cinema. Everything is
available to promote film tourism in UP. History or spirituality, jungle, everything is found here, which is good for film shooting.

He said that the world producer and director of the film present on the stage should keep their suggestions before the government as the
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh is ready to promote the film tourism. There is a wide range of security arrangements in the state today, due to which there is no difficulty in getting a favorable condition for shooting films. At the same time, in the discussion panel,

renowned lyrics-singer Manoj Muntasir remembered Pulwama martyrs first and said there is no shortage of talent in UP. But due to lack of favourable the platform, they are forced to move to other cities.
He himself went to Mumbai from small town of Gauriganj in Amethi with the name of Manoj Shukla to find his destination, and in this city gave him a new identiy as Manoj Muntasir. Uttar Pradesh as Film City can achieve a good leap because it has many talent here. Manoj talked about the development of Tamil films. He said that wherever there is will power, success is always achieved. Vipul Rawal scriptwriter said that less paperwork is required shooting of films outside and also get sufficient security, though few problems are faced. Film tourism can be greatly enhanced here by removing them.

Filmmakers will get more tax exemption with subsidy, so many people will be interested in shooting films in UP. Film director Anil Sharma said that whenever he comes to the land of Uttar Pradesh, he have no words to express. He said that he is thankful for the love he got from Lucknow. He gets happiness on Lucknow being known as a place where film ‘Gadar’ was shooted. There should be a film city in UP just like Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi. UP should provide a platform to engcourage talent there. Vinod Bachchan said that there is a lot of difficulties in

accomplishing the dreams. In Uttar Pradesh, there is unlimited possibilities of film tourism because Uttar Pradesh is really a Uttam Pradesh. He feels good on seeing their gali & mohalla’s. He wants to show their country because they have a deep engagement with his country and he wants to promote the cultural heritage by his films. Film producer Ashu Tricha said that we go for shooting in foreign countries in compulsion. If all the facilities and security are available, we can shoot in our own country. Referring to Uttar Pradesh, Ashu

said that everything is available for film tourism in UP. Famous TV serial director ‘Pavitra Rishta’,  Rabindra Gautam ji said that in addition to the films, if the subsidy is given to the TV serial, then many TV serial directors will also be interested in Uttar Pradesh, which can be useful at a large level, so that local artists too will get a lot of opportunity. Renowned singer Sunil Sawariya ji said that the share of Uttar Pradesh films has always been 70-80 years old, but the state had very recenlty participated in films. He requested the filmmakers to make such films, which have the history of Uttar Pradesh. Nishith Chandra said that people say that ‘Ganga Jamuna-Tahzib’ is seen in Uttar Pradesh’s films. He said that government should encourage technology for film production in Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh must give opportunity local artists to stop migration of tallent.
